SCIENTIFIC NAME: Enteroctopus megalocyathus.
CHARACTERISTICS: White meat mollusk, that inhabits the Chilean coastline. Pelagic species, which can be found on the coast that fronts on the open ocean depending on the time of the day.
MAIN PRODUCTION LINES: refrigerated fresh, frozen fresh.
REGULATION: Free access to new operators, there are no specific managing restrictions. Its average size is 1.5 m. Harvest season April to October.
